  • Participants were also asked for the following personal information: stage of training (Foundation Year 1 or 2), whether they had previously worked in an emergency department, and whether they had completed the advanced life support course or equivalent. ‘Correct’ answers were not available to trainees until after the study had been completed and data analysed.
