We would like to thank Donaldson et al for their study on whether the medical school attended by a student contributes to their chances of applying to and receiving an offer from the Academic Foundation Programme (AFP).1
They found that while there is no correlation between medical school rankings and AFP acceptance rates, students from research focused medical schools that mandate partaking in an intercalated degree (iBSc) are more likely to apply for the AFP.
