A 23 year old body builder presented with a two year history of pain and stiffness in his right shoulder. There was no history of trauma to the shoulder either at work or during his weight training. On examination there was point tenderness of the right acromioclavicular joint and restriction in the terminal range of shoulder abduction. Laboratory investigations were nor-mal. A plain anteroposterior radiograph of the right shoulder joint was taken (fig1).
