Patients frequently attend outpatient clinics either asking where on the web they can access information on their condition, or, more commonly, they arrive at their clinic appointment with information, and sadly, sometimes misinformation, they have downloaded. Being able to direct patients to reputable web sites therefore is likely to become increasingly important. Here are two UK based web sites, which you and your patients may find helpful. Although there is a certain amount of overlap in the information both provide, their approach is slightly different, and some patients, depending on the information they are seeking, may have a preference for one over the other.
