Asthma precipitated by cessation of lithium treatment

We report symptomatic asthma, associated with objective and
highly significant increases in both airway responsiveness and airflow
limitation, presenting de novo in a male
patient 6 weeks after suddenly discontinuing lithium carbonate therapy.
